Pasikuda

As the golden sandy beaches embrace the coastal area, Sri Lanka becomes the destination of attraction for beach-lovers. Sri Lanka is chock-full with ideal beaches where Pasikuda holds fame of having the longest stretches of shallow coastline in the world.

Located about 35km northwest of Batticaloa, it has a sea of few inches depth as people walk kilometers into it. Being proposed as a shallow Marine Sanctuary, it contains a shallow fringing coral reef towards the outer bay with scattered coral communities within the bay.

The time arrives at the summer season as the sea gets calm, the weather becomes fine and water sports become feasible. Pasikuda recalls the ego of Sri Lanka, as it is not merely a coverlet of sea water but a destination full of activities to experience on.
